Our EP Larrisa is on the way to the airport at the moment, leaving for Thessaloniki, Greece on her internship at an English Camp for kids at different ages. Thinking back her whole application process, we are really proud of her because her efforts and commitment to AIESEC are apparently seen. As AIESECers usually do, she has gone through the process of passing the Review Board, becoming an AIESECer, attending AIESEC Preparation Workshop in Toronto (held by AIESEC Canada), positively searching for all kinds of internships and contacting TN managers, and was finally matched with her most interested internship in Greece. It is absolutely no easy work.
Challenges are there waiting for her in Greece but we believe Larrisa will manage to deal with them very well at her very first time to leave the North American continent! Sincerely we wish Larrisa all the best and a good time in Greece!
Lastly but of equal importance, as her EP manager, I would like to give special thanks to our LCP Cristina who has provided full support in Larrisa's case and we wouldn't have walked this far without her help! Thank you very much again Crisitina! And also, our VP OGX Lavinia also has also been helping the summer team a lot even though she is doing her co-op in Guelph. No work could be done perfectly without full support from teammates, which I believe all Laurier AIESECers actually share. Proud to be on the team! Go AIESEC Laurier!

Happy Birthday Canada!
Driven by Marc, the German AIESEC intern that has just finished his internship in Waterloo, Laurier AIESECers went to Toronto to join the celebrations on Canada Day! We walked by the Harbour Front and stayed there for the whole afternoon. It was really cool to celebrate this day with international friends! Among us AIESECers, there is a really professional soccer fan, as you could tell from her self-made world cup schedule below~~
Happy Birthday Canada!

We Are Making Progress
We had the meeting at the Barley Works on a cold day in the summer. BUT Laurier AIESECers felt warm because we were together. Since today's meeting is the last meeting for our incoming intern Marc from Germany before he leaves, the summer team has prepared a package for him where there are goodbye letters from all the summer team members. It's been so nice for us to have him and fun to include a new cultural element on the summer team. As the local committee in Kitchener/Waterloo region, AIESEC Laurier is aimed at providing support to incoming and outgoing exchange participants as well as creating global internship opportunities for AIESECers.
The summer team has been making process in creating awareness of AIESEC in local communities and we have gotten the support from Laurier International with the efforts. We are optimistic to establish more contacts with local companies to have our first and more TNs. On the outgoing exchange side, one of our EPs will leave for her internship in Greece in less than 10 days while we have held one review board and passed another exchange participant in the summer for AIESEC Canada's summer internship program in China and Turkey. Another review board is scheduled within the upcoming 2 weeks for interested EPs who want to go for their global internships in September this year.
Leaving a voice message (sounds good!)

About AIESEC Laurier
AIESEC Laurier is a chapter of AIESEC International, whose main purpose is sending students on international exchanges. AIESEC Laurier was recently re-established at the university of Wilfrid Laurier and is now creating awareness of the organization in the Kitchener/Waterloo area.
AIESEC provides an opportunity for students to network for social, travel and employment reasons and is an outlet for students with international interests. AIESEC Laurier runs events in the local community with a focus on cultural diversity, and wishes to be an integral part of the Wilfrid Laurier culture.
With regard to exchanges, AIESEC Laurier aims to both send local students abroad and create internships locally in order to provide international students exchange opportunities in the surrounding area.

Hello again from TM!
Lavinia (our VPOGX) is living with me this week because of the G20, I don't want her to leave:(( While my building is having a huge party outside, we decided to skip out tonight and get some AIESEC work done, and some accounting but that's besides the point.
You guys are all out at my favourite club in the city DALLAS!!! I hope you are enjoying it, I know you will!
Right now I am trying to get things organized for our Fall recruitment and it's a lot harder to start then I thought it was going to be. With such a motivated summer team I feel eager to grow, but at the same time I feel very overwhelmed and it's times like these where I could really use a TM Team!
I have a really cool picture of how the next term is going to be and I can't wait to start seeing results! Our Q3 Goal planning will begin in the next couple weeks and from there I will be a busybusy girl.
I love TM. and aiesec. and my lc.
TMLove,
Kyn
